We weren't sure why this hotel would have such a good rating, but we liked the rating and booked it. Once we got there, it was clear why it had such a good rating. Apart from the excellent hotel itself and breakfast, the difference was the staff. Very professional and helpful. A couple of examples. First, there were a couple of additional items that I requested on the first morning from the lady who supervised the breakfast buffet. The next morning, she had remembered me and brought me the same items again without me asking! Second example, we had some presents to give to family, but we didn't have a nice bag. Reception gave us two very suitable new bags free of charge that were perfect for what we wanted. Thank you! We miss Hotel Prezio!

The hotel is very clean and equipped with everything you need. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The hotel is located in an area full of restaurants and with a short walk the Kyoto market can be reached. Some of the staff speak English well and some do not, but nevertheless they try to help using translation apps. I fully recommend it and should I go back to Kyoto again I would select this hotel again.

Modern hotel, spotlessly clean, very well equipped with vending machines and free items. Situated close to the main commercial avenue with metro and bus lines. The staff was very polite and professional. Great value for money.

Great location (city center), walking distance to many important attractions as well as public transportation. The staff was lovely, helped us with recommendations, luggage shipment to our next hotel, and more. The hotel and the room were super clean, and it was very nice that they provided two water bottles each day. The cherry on top was that the room included a massage armchair! Which was super nice.

Room Very stylish, clean and decently spacious twin room. No wardrobe unfortunately, only a couple of hangers but there was a nice sofa, where some clothes can be stored. Loved attention to the details - nice mugs and tea kettle zone in the room Very comfy bed, pillows and blankets Great location 5 min walk to the bus stop, 10 min walk to Subway station. Easy to reach the touristic sites. Very nice area to walk in the evenings Very friendly staff

We were very surprised to find a massage chair and foot massager in the room, which was a big added plus after long days of walking around town. The duvet was very comfy and the room was larger than average size for Japanese standards. Everything was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. We appreciated the option to opt out of a room cleaning service in exchange for complementary beverages. It was about a 15-17 min walk from Gion and had some cute restaurants nearby. The 7/11 across the street was an added bonus.

Excellent location with good transport links and supermarkets nearby. Especially loved the ‘Life’ supermarket round the corner. Beds very comfortable and large for singles and nice bathroom facilities. Staff were super lovely. Eco cleaning available where if you leave your bins and towel basket outside the door they will empty them and leave you a bag of towels with new dressing gowns and tea/water. Just be warned that even if you only want your towels replacing you will still get new dressing gowns. We never used them so ended up with 14 by the end of our stay! 😂

The size and comfort of my room felt like luxury to me after spending a week in a cheaper hotel beforehand. Everything was very clean, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was nothing special, but had good variety. The location is decent too.

Overall a great, comfortable stay. The staff were polite and professional. There is a coffee/tea machine in the lobby. There is a garden view in the lobby. The rooms were sized appropriately, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom brilliant.
